Paresh P. Desai is the Founder and Lead Career Counsellor at STEP-ON EDU CONSULTANTS – One Smart Step Ahead, bringing with him over 35 years of experience in the para-medical and education sector.

A Science graduate with two Post Graduate Diplomas in Pathology, Mr. Desai is a qualified Embryologist with 19 years of hands-on experience. He is currently working as the Manager of a Pathology Laboratory and IVF Centre at a reputed private hospital in Mumbai, where he continues to actively engage in medical and diagnostic services.

Academic & Institutional Experience

Mr. Desai has also successfully established and managed a para-medical college for nearly 20 years, offering Post Graduate Diploma in Medical Laboratory Technology, affiliated with Veer Narmad South Gujarat University. His long-standing association with students, faculty, and academic institutions has given him deep insight into student psychology, career confusion, and education planning.

The Inspiration Behind STEP-ON

Throughout his career in education and healthcare, Mr. Desai has interacted with countless students who were eager to study and grow—but were unsure about what to study, where to study, and what career options truly suited them.

This challenge became deeply personal when, being based in a Tier 2 / Tier 3 city of Gujarat, he himself faced difficulties in identifying new-age education and career options while planning his son’s academic journey. That experience highlighted a larger problem faced by students and parents across the region—lack of awareness, guidance, and reliable career counselling.
